The 'Alive & Gigging' Roadshow that has previously featured artists Tracey Roberts, Chloe Hall, Maria Forde, Christina Green, Stax the Didgeman and Neesy Smith is slated for a revamp this year and apart from me will most likely feature Chloe and Silas, Christina Green, Tracey Roberts, Stax and Zoltan Almady on percussion with new additions, singer-songwriter/guitarist Dean Haitani and singer-songwriter Jo Jo Smith joining the show. (keep an eye on the Gigs Page for details).
I love working with other like minded artists. There's great value in sharing the load as well as learning others' styles of music and approach to writing and performing and I'm ecstatic to be included in such a talented line-up and look forward to many more occasions to play with this amazing group of artists.
Having completed a Diploma of Music - Composition last year, I intend on spending this year improving my skills on piano, bass and ukulele hoping to dedicate the next couple of years to professional development. It's also my intention to spend this year recording a long overdue album, the first in my studio which will be a new experience.
Although I had a great time touring the US in 2010, I am longing to get back to the UK not having been there since 2008. Being overseas brought me great joy and I'm very much looking forward to returning to the UK again. I never expected to feel so at home on the other side of the world and have been very happy to have had the chance to travel internationally and introduce my music to new audiences.
I've had the pleasure of playing with some phenomenal musicians & hope those opportunities continue to present themselves, so far so good so I guess we'll see.
Everything else is........
